ProAmpac Holdings, Inc. Continuous Improvement Engineer in Auburn, Washington
ProAmpac currently seeks to fill a Continuous Improvement Engineering position at its Seattle, Washington Center of Excellence manufacturing operation. The position will provide management support, in identifying, establishing, and maintaining new process improvement opportunities in the areas of product realization, quality, cost, production performance, and preventive and predictive maintenance.
Support product realization initiatives.
Evaluate and analyze current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvements.
Analyze and identify opportunities to reduce process variation, improve process capabilities and optimize process performance.
Develop process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and productivity while following safety, environmental, food safety and good manufacturing practices observed by ProAmpac.
Facilitate the deployment of new and changed processes to provide improved results.
Develop standard procedures and policies to be followed.
Train and guide resources as needed.
Work with various teams to reduce process and business variations.
Assist Managers in management for capital projects.
Prepare project presentations for management when needed.
Review and update business procedures and documents based on project requirements.
Provide support with the setup of non-standard products.
Manage assigned requests, tasks, and projects through planning, organizing, coordinating to ensure required deadlines and expectations are met.

BS Degree in Chemical or Materials Engineering or Related Education
1-7 years of experience at a manufacturing site
Good understanding of materials science & BOMs
SPC/Lean Tools Experience Preferred
Strong implementation skills
Good troubleshooting fact finding skills.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills; computer proficiency
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Technical report writing and analytical skills.
Ability to take initiative and work independently or in team environment.
