Check the production schedule to plan and prioritize work as well as coordinate scheduling of ink deliveries and ink inventories.
Formulate, measure and match colors for designated printing presses based on production schedule.
Use spectro and customer-supplied color standards. Add or reduce bases and solvents to meet customer specifications.
Coordinate efforts to maintain constant supply of ink for presses.
Complete required paperwork.
Troubleshoot ink-related problems.
Be aware of surroundings, following safety procedures and using appropriate safety equipment.
Clean instruments and machines at the end of production. Mop and clean work area to meet company standards.
Pass a hue test
Participate in physical inventory.
Properly operate and maintain records (or related software programs.) for jobs, keep records as required to demonstrate performance of blending operation. (Checklist, Job Sheet, Ink Orders Form)
Have the knowledge to answer supervisor and managers questions when asked.
Develop and maintain a plan to work off press returns and obsolete materials and perform appropriate record keeping functions.

3-4 Days Off a Week With 12-Hour Shift on A 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule

Prior Experience Mixing Inks
Must be able to lift 50lbs on occasion 70lbs
Solid basic math and measurement skills
Able to stand for a 12-hour shift (availability for night shifts a big plus)
Great attendance and punctuality
Must be willing and able to work overtime when required.
Work in a manufacturing plant utilizing computers/machines, dollies, electronic measuring devices, hand-held measuring devices or scanners, hand tools, safety knives, pallet jacks, power tools and standard safety equipment.
Utilize resource materials including, drawings/proofs, equipment manuals to troubleshoot, procedure manual, production schedule, forms, work orders and specification sheets for the job, SDS sheets and safe work practices.
Vision capabilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
