Job Description

The Quality Assurance Project Technician creates, manages, interprets, and presents data including basic statistical analyses (bar charts, trend analysis, etc.). They will work to support the Project Engineer on all projects.

This position is responsible for assisting the Quality Assurance Manager in managing the Quality System by performing duties of the Quality Assurance Technician. Other duties include:

Thorough understanding and operation of all lab equipment required. Collect and record the test data from every job and tear sheet that is applicable by inspecting the product, checking for accuracy of data, sorting data, summarizing details, and communicating thoughts clearly in writing.

Write and where needed, mange documents to support the management function for Quality, Food Safety, and ISO.

Manage those attributes related to the quality system as directed by the Quality Manager (i.e. specifications, internal/external rejections, customer requested documentation, etc.).

Check the quality of the product by comparing different items; inspecting, measuring, testing, and troubleshooting the product; and/or speaking to the employee if necessary at the time the check is performed.

Maintain a clean work area per GMP’s.

Participates in ideation sessions with sales and marketing and other to develop testparameter and project concepts

Assists Project Engineer in managing all aspects of project timeline.

Troubleshoot lab equipment and service as required with manufacture service support.

Support Quality Manager in ensuring that the Quality Management System (ISO, SQF, GFSI, IMS) is being followed.

Support customer complaint and reject process to ensure accurate root cause analysis, timely response, and determination and implementation of corrective actions.

Work with supply base to ensure product conformance through document process monitoring and process controls method.

Helps design and conduction of basic shelf life, storage, drop testing and heat seal curve testing in relation to packaging performance under various conditions.

Maintains accurate and up to date records and trial databases

Serve as a liaison for any environmental follow ups working with Project Engineer.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in science or technical discipline required

Minimum 6 months of experience as Quality Technician

Proficient in the use of computers, especially windows based systems and Microsoft office applications. Proficient in Excel to utilize analytical tools to create charts, pivot tables etc to better analyze and evaluate information

Excellent communication organizational and multi tasking skills to address production problems and communicate effective with the internal team and external contacts
