Responsibilities:

The Business Unit Controller is responsible for leading, directing and overseeing the accounting for multiple manufacturing sites within the business unit level. Key actions will include preparing, consolidating, and executing sites P&L, which include monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, financial statements, cost accounting, payroll, budgeting, tax compliance and others. In addition, they will oversee all audit activities and lead the preparation of financial statements & filings to be in compliance with GAAP and other regulations.

  • Responsible for developing policies, practices, and procedures to impact ProAmpac

  • Analyze financial data and present findings in an accurate and timely manner, communicating clearly and informing senior leadership of financial status and changes

  • Lead and direct the divisions finance team by creating and promoting a positive and support work environment; leverage team member strengths to clarify roles and responsibilities

  • Align department strategy with organizational goals

  • Manage organizational cash flow forecasting by working together with executive leadership; collaborate to assess financial efficacy of program operations

  • Manager and track and the performance of invested assets in keeping with polices and guidelines

  • Oversee & prepare monthly and quarterly reports of division finances to facilitate decision making

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 7 years’ experience in Financial Management

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams and Outlook

  • Exceptional time management and organization skills; able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written and presentations) with leadership, employees, and clients

  • Strong analytical abilities and understanding of automated financial and accounting reporting systems, as well as audit activities

  • Self-confident and motivated to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • CPA or similar certifications preferred
