ProAmpac is hiring a HR Intern that will work onsite at our Cincinnati location.

This human resource role will focus on projects and provide administrative support for the VP of Human Resources. This is a paid internship, and the schedule will be set by the direct manager. The internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills they may have acquired in school related to their areas of interest and study and apply them in a professional setting. They will gain a better understanding of the role that Human Resources can play in the organization and be better prepared to work in the area of Human Resources.

The ProAmpac Internship Program will help you build valuable business and leadership skills while offering valuable work projects, mentorships, and developmental opportunities.

  • Assist in various projects, e.g. onboarding, general competencies development; leadership development; participate in toolkit design, content design, mechanism optimization, delivery

  • Provide support in the development and reorganization of employee files

  • Act as point of contact for new hire communication including onboarding processes

  • Execute research and provide feedback on diversity, equitability and inclusion efforts

  • Help with editing, formatting, and proofreading presentations

  • Analyze and provide recommendations in areas tied to HR metrics such as turnover, time to fill, etc.

  • Support in driving engagement including survey administration, reporting, and analysis

  • Participate in a cross-functional group projects

Requirements

Education/Skills/Knowledge Required:

Degree Qualifications: All qualified interns must be actively seeking a bachelor’s degree and currently enrolled as a freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior with an accredited college or university, with a graduation date between May 2024 and December 2024.

Time Commitment: Ability to commit to 10-12 weeks of full-time employment.

Field of Study: Qualified HR Interns will have a high level of passion in their field of study. The field of study must be related to HR, preferably in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, Business Administration or Management

Qualified applicants must possess an intermediate level of understanding of the following:

  • Ability to work in a confidential environment

  • Work with a virtual team across multiple time zones with co-workers, key stakeholders, and employees

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, planning and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience identifying problems and/or trends using quantitative and qualitative analytical strategies

  • Intermediate/advanced Excel skills and demonstrated ability of analyzing and presenting technical/statistical information to non-technical audiences

  • Detail oriented with a passion for data integrity and accuracy

  • Eager to learn, positive attitude, highly motivated

  • Experience in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, teams)

  • Ability to follow documented policies and procedures

  • Troubleshooting/problem solving skills
