Position Summary

The Market Manager is responsible for the development and execution of business strategies and action plans to deliver sustainable and profitable growth for the entire Food and Ecommerce market including all submarkets, in line with financial and strategic goals of the Annual Operating and Strategic Business Plans. This role will Develop and execute profitable growth strategies for the Food Service and Ecommerce Market, lead the cross-functional Market teams, including collaboration with Sales, Marketing Communications, Innovation, R&D, Technical Service, Manufacturing, Legal and Supply Chain.

  • Own and drive cross functional alignment by first defining the direction to take to revenue, EBITDA, and grow the market. Leads development and execution of focused growth strategies.

  • Collaborate with sales leadership, Innovation, R&D, sales, operations, marketing and leadership to define and execute Annual operating and strategic plans.

  • Understand, communicate, and define the actions for profitability of the portfolio (pricing); routinely evaluate current and new business for profitability.

  • Lead market activation activities to promote ProAmpac products in the marketplace; continue to strengthen brand identity in underserved submarkets within Ecommerce.

  • Shepherd new product launches through the formal stage gate process (PRISM) to drive new business growth.

  • Ensure a regular and strong interface with cross-divisional sales organizations for addressing market and customer issues.

  • Lead assessment of market, technology, regulatory trends, and competitive activities relevant to the assigned market(s) and develop appropriate strategic response.

  • Ensure customization of growth strategies to support appropriate key elements relevant for translation and alignment with site strategies and new product development.

  • Work with Marketing Communications to refine the external assigned market(s) portfolio message, position and content for brand, product trademarks and marketing communication channels.

  • Define and lead the new product development justification and launch process by collaborating with Innovation, R&D, Product Management, Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Communications and leadership to drive externally focused innovation.

  • Monitor and communicate business trends, competitive, regulatory and technology developments, lead work streams as needed.

  • Identify and define target opportunities, provide target account analysis; focusing on strategic account acquisition and organic growth of ProAmpac’s strategic accounts.

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in a marketing, product management, sales or a commercial leadership role

  • Expertise with wide range of marketing practices and tools including project management and commercialization

  • Demonstrated ability to increase demand and generate profitable growth

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize based on market data and leadership; New Product Introduction management capabilities
