Job Description

ProAmpac is currently seeking a Pricing Analyst that can work remotely. The Pricing Analyst will lead the estimating and pricing process to ensure profitable growth. The Pricing Analyst is responsible for calculating product cost and pricing levels that meet agreed-upon margin guidelines and/or pricing strategy within the specific market based on input from Sales, Product Development, and historical actual production data, for new and existing business. They also will analyze data received to ensure it is consistent and appropriate for the cost request.

  • Collects and analyzes data relating to current and predicted market conditions, cost overhead, or competition pricing in order to recommend pricing strategies or standardizing pricing guidelines.

  • Balances customer needs or values with expected product demand to maximize revenue, market share, or profit margin.

  • Models pricing adjustments to predict the impact of pricing changes on organizational performance.

  • Provide customized pricing to the sales team.

  • Leads coordination of formal customer bids, which often require cross-departmental coordination, to ensure accurate and timely completion of bid submissions.

  • Analyzes data on low margin business and acts as a liaison between sales and manufacturing.

  • Tracks actual quotes by customer and market group to aid in uniform pricing to customers.

Travel

  • 10-20% Travel Required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited program

  • Performs work under minimal supervision.

  • Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.

  • An ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, margins, proportions, percentages, area, circumferences, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • May act as a lead or first-level supervisor.

  • Solid working knowledge of pricing processes and related manufacturing.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams and Outlook.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.

  • Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.

  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.

  • Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

  • should have high level knowledge of Microsoft Office internet software ERP system and advanced knowledge level in Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software including formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
