ProAmpac is seeking to find a Product Development Co-Op Intern, who will work in-person full-time for 12 weeks. Within this role, they will have the opportunity to complete lab testing of products for industry-leading customers. The testing types can include, but are not limited to, heat seals, drop resistances, and breakdown analyses. The lab trial process will include following set protocols, evaluating variables, completing analyses of testing and presenting the findings to the team. Additional responsibilities are:
Assisting Product Development Engineers with physical and analytical testing of new innovative packaging solution
Conducting fit-for-use testing of new package developments such as drop testing, sizing, stability testing and leak testing
Hands on lab work including evaluation, pouch/bag making, and sample testing
Working with Innovation Engineers to develop and validate sustainability packaging solutions
Presenting project/testing results and findings to the team
Currently pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university in Packaging Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Packaging or related field
Previous internship experiences preferred
Understanding of lab testing (protocols, process, evaluations, statistical analysis)
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams), Illustrator and Outlook
Experience with AutoCAD, a plus
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Self-motivated and proactive professional that thrives in a fast-paced environment
Need to be living in, or willing to relocate to Cincinnati (no relocation assistance provided)
