We are actively seeking a Production Scheduling Team Leader to join our Cincinnati, OH team. The Scheduling Team Lead is responsible for scheduling work orders efficiently, with an emphasis on keeping scrap to a minimum, and maximize throughput through all facets of the production process and to ensure on time shipments for our customers.

Essential Duties and Tasks

  • Develops schedule for work centers finding the right balance between customer deliveries and production efficiency.

  • Supervise scheduling and data entry team to ensure all schedules and data are inputted timely and correctly.

  • Ensures through schedule development that all orders are completed on time and communicates any unexpected delays to Customer Service and Production Department Managers.

  • Communicates with Manufacturing, Art and Customer Service regarding scheduling issues, priority orders and other special instructions.

  • Completes data entry and analysis for production teams when needed.

  • Confirms sufficient materials are available to support production schedule.

  • Commitment, awareness, and involvement pertaining to ISO (policy, standards, procedures, etc.) and food safety practices (GMPs, procedures, etc.) are requirements of all employees.

  • Trains in other areas of supply chain and provides back up support during absences.


Successful candidates for this role will have the following:

  • Associate degree is preferred, or equivalent education and experience is required

  • Prior supervisory experience is highly preferred

  • Prior experience in a Production Scheduling role and prior experience utilizing Production Scheduling software preferred

  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), and Outlook email and calendar capabilities.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.

  • Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)

  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.

  • Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
