ProAmpac is seeking a Spring Semester Product Development/Engineering Intern , who will work in-person in the Granite City facility. Within this role, they will have the opportunity to complete lab testing of trial products for industry-leading customers. Potential products include flexible bags for Pet & Lawn clients. The lab trial process will include, but is not limited to, following set protocols, evaluating variables, and completing analyses of testing. Other responsibilities include:
Providing assistance with product trials completed on the production floor
Updating trial plans and all necessary tracking on progress
Presenting verbal reports on the findings from lab trials to team
Updating Typical Data Sheet (TDS) files to ensure data is accurate in reports
Currently pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university in Packaging Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field
Previous internship experiences preferred
Understanding of lab testing (protocols, process, evaluations, statistical analysis)
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams) and Outlook; experience with Excel preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Self-motivated and proactive professional that thrives in a fast-paced environment
Need to living in/near, or willing to relocate, to Granite City (no relocation assistance provided)
