Position Summary
This Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and providing maintenance to all equipment, machinery, etc., to ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment. This position operates under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Lead.
Essential Duties and Tasks

Maintain all equipment to OSHA and company standards
Maintain all production equipment to ensure their operation is safe and in proper operating condition including both mechanical and minor electrical repairs
Troubleshoot equipment and process issues as necessary
Perform preventative maintenance on all production and support equipment
Communicate with department heads and production personnel about proper operation of equipment and future upgrades
Participate in “on-call” rotation schedule of all maintenance personnel to ensure 24-hour coverage of maintenance needs in the event of an emergency. Participate with peers and supervisors in addressing problem areas, implementation of corrective and preventive actions, planning methods, and operating procedures
Perform other duties as needed
RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply with all ProAmpac Safety, Quality, Operational and Employment policies and practices
Remove from operation any machine deemed unsafe and immediately notify management
Adhere to all Quality principles as outlined in our Quality System to ensure efficient production of a quality product on a day-to-day basis
Maintain all facility safety devices and insure they are in proper working condition
Day-to-day compliance with quality, food safety and prerequisite programs
Post repair cleanup of equipment
Report food safety concerns
Operate in a manner that will reduce waste and optimize usable production
Halt manufacturing processes and immediately notifying management of any safety, material, equipment or technical non-conformance
Participate with co-workers and supervisors in addressing problem areas, planning methods and operating procedures
Identify and record quality related problems, initiate action to prevent nonconformance, and recommend solutions
Control the further processing of materials until any deficiency is corrected
Must be able to work 2nd shift. (2 pm - 10 pm)

Requirements
Qualifications, Education and Experience
To perform this job successfully employee must be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; problem-solving skills; ability to work accurately, to meet deadlines; ability to work well independently and as part of a team; ability to exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment and discretion.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work history
Ability to work and communicate with all levels of employees
2+ years’ previous electrical/mechanical maintenance experience
Previous manufacturing experience as a Tech
Must be able to work 2nd shift. (2 pm - 10 pm)
