Job Description
This position will be responsible for setting up and running machinery, specifically folding carton machinery to create carton-based boxes according to client specification, in addition to adhering to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure safe environment and handling of a quality product while meeting a production schedule and keeping the work area clean.
Responsible for the set up and operation of folding carton machines to produce a quality product that meets or exceeds customers’ requirements.
Reads, understands, and ensures compliance to machine set-up and production requirements as outlined in work orders.
Meets or exceeds daily production rates and spoilage standards.
Trouble shoot & repair mechanical breakdowns & perform adjustments as necessary.
Review and ensure compliance of safety rules and procedures with assisting personnel.
Complete required paperwork daily to include daily production reports.
Maintain a clean work area in aisles and around the machine.
Must be able to adhere to company policy, safety rules and regulations, and wear PPE
Other duties as assigned.

Please find a brief description of roles below:
MACHINE OPERATOR - Major Job Function: Learn all safety functions of each machine prior to use, set up and run each job based on requested specifications, readying and understanding product and materials for production provided in the job ticket requirements.
GENERAL LABOR – Major Job Function: Pack products at predetermined counts based on customer specifications, provide quality checks on all production materials, communicate any quality issues with machine operators, and other general tasks as required.
Hours vary per department
8 and 12 hour shifts available
First, second and overnight shifts available

Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience running packaging machines.
Trouble shooting/problem solving skills
Excellent communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills to communicate and coordinate effectively with internal personnel.
Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Work in a manufacturing plant utilizing hand tools, safety knives, packaging equipment, pallet jacks and standard safety equipment.
Must be able to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays.
