ProAmpac Holdings, Inc. Operator - Converting in Portland, Oregon
Description
Safely sets up, operates and monitors converting machinery and equipment as intended and needed to meet customer and production goals.
Ability to read/follow work orders, which includes what raw materials to use, die cutters to use, and special instructions, like gluing layouts.
Completes converting machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment to ensure proper operation.
Monitors the production process, inspects and test materials and equipment using safe and proper protocols, to ensure products meet quality standards and production quotas are met.
Trouble shoots equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficiently. Keeps machinery and surrounding areas organized by meeting housekeeping, storage, staging, and cleanliness requirements.
Communicate clear instruction and directions to other crew members as needed.
Completes all necessary documentation for internal and or external use.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, to prevent accidents or injuries. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by safety policies and reports safety hazards to appropriate team member.
Effectively works with all personnel in all departments, such as machine technicians, supervisors, and quality control inspectors to coordinate production activities and address any potential issues as they arise.
Shifts and hours could vary depending on production requirements.
