Job Responsibilities:

  • Mentors, coaches, and oversees the work of the team to meet safety, operational, and quality needs

  • Oversees and directs all daily production activities of the conversion department by continuously performing department walk throughs throughout each shift

  • Monitor production activity and data to develop solutions or recommendations to continuously improve processes in support of operational goals and objectives

  • Maintain staffing for the department and arrange coverage when needed

  • Must monitor and maintain SSI Operating system to show data of machines

  • Responsible for accurate accounting of employees worked hours for payroll purposes

  • Commitment, awareness and involvement pertaining to ISO (policy, standards, procedures, etc.) and food safety practices (GMPs, procedures, etc.) are requirements of all employees

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises employees in the Conversion Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work a 12 hr rotating schedule Sun-Sat 7pm-7am, 2-2-3 rotation

  • Must be available for overtime when needed

  • Effective leadership and management skills

  • Ability to collaborate, motivate, foster teamwork

  • Ability to effectively lead by motivating, coaching and mentoring employees. Willingness to compassionately hold others accountable and to be held accountable

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), email and calendar capabilities

  • Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information

  • Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with all levels of the organization.

  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options

  • Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
