Position Overview

Skills/Qualities Required :

  • Technical education specializing in Machinist skills or 2 years+ equivalent experience.

  • CNC machinist a plus.

  • Must be able to read and understand written directions.

  • Solid working knowledge of machine tools and equipment such as lathes, milling, shapers, and grinders.

  • Accurately use measuring equipment and hand tools.

  • Ability to operate machine shop equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Must be able to write legibly and fill out maintenance work orders.

  • Must be able to stand continuously for 10-hour shifts.

  • Must be able to adhere to company policy, safety rules and regulations, and wear PPE.

Shift: 7am-5pm Monday-Friday

Salary range : $27-$30/per hour

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Disassembly, repair, and reassembly of machine components

  • Fabricate or modify parts to make/repair machine, tools or maintain machines and minimize downtime.

  • Applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and procedures.

  • Use of: Lathes, Milling machines, Saws, Grinders, Drills, etc.

  • Welding and torch cutting.

  • Monitor, maintain and adjust process to produce to specifications.

  • Measure, examine and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.

  • Record approved and defective units or finished products.

  • Assist in machine and facilities maintenance projects.

  • Design and fabricate solutions to machine problems.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
