The Team Leader is responsible for the overall management and coordination of his/her shift and plant operation consistent with the Company's safety, quality, cost, profit and productivity objectives. The Team Leader is responsible for the development of their team and to ensure all company goals are communicated and achieved.

  • Overall supervision of departmental activities and personnel. Omitted shift

  • Manage, coach, and develop employees to achieve established safety, team, and plant goals

  • Manage the performance of team members including:

  • Writing and delivering Employee Performance Evaluations

  • Administering Corrective Action Reports when warranted

  • Positive recognition

  • Develop employees and create a "High Performance Team Environment"

  • Ensure production employees are properly trained and comply with processes and procedures

  • Maintain a high standard of professional ethics when dealing with peers and subordinates

  • Ensure clear, effective communication is provided, verbally and/or written, to all team members

  • Ensure conformance to the Quality and Safety systems and procedures

  • Identify and control non-conforming materials/products

  • Suggest and or initiate corrective, or preventive action, to prevent non-conforming product

  • Other projects or duties as deemed necessary

  • May be required to perform other housekeeping and/or other manufacturing related functions as required by Management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business manufacturing or equivalent preferred

  • 3-5 years prior Leadership or Management experience in a same or similar environment preferred

  • Work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, good math and mechanical skills, get along with others, positive attitude and well organized.

  • Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.

  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.

  • Self-confident, self-motivated individual who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
