ProAmpac's manufacturing facility located in Westfield, MA has openings for manufacturing production workers. ProAmpac is a leader in the flexible packaging industry. These entry level positions will support our operations in rewinding, extrusion, printing, lamination and material handling. Most employees work rotating 12-hour shifts. We are seeking enthusiastic people, willing to learn with a strong desire to succeed in a team environment. These roles can lead to promotional opportunities throughout the organization.
This position will be responsible for ensuring all product meets requirements for shipment.
Essential Duties and Tasks

Operate roll wrappers, stretch wrappers, bander, roll movers, fork/clamp truck and other related equipment.
Ensure proper packaging and labeling of finished product and that meets customer requirements.
Material movement by hand, forklift, roll handler and shuttle.
Responsible to review orders for specific packaging instructions.
Responsible for ensuring the wrapping area is cleaned prior to wrapping rolls.
Responsible for day to day compliance with Food Safety and Pre-requisite programs.
Other assignments or tasks as needed.

Work primarily in a non-climate controlled indoor environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection required.

Ability to operate heavy equipment/machinery safely.
Shift formats vary (8 hours, 12 hours, nights, days)
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Good math and reading skills required.
Work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicate, good math and mechanical skills, get along with others, positive attitude and well organized.
Valid state issued driver's license.
Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
Self-confident, self-motivated individual who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
