Position Summary
Responsible for the development and communication of an executable production schedule to meets customer service goals, while enabling machine productivity.
Essential Duties and Tasks

Develops schedule for work centers finding the right balance between customer deliveries and production efficiency.
Ensures through schedule development that all orders are completed on time and communicates any unexpected delays to Customer Service.
Communicates with Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Planning regarding scheduling issues, priority orders and other special instructions.
Ensure effective implementation of Production Control Department procedures.
Confirms sufficient materials are available to support production schedule, schedules un-allocated WIP and FG materials to orders
Commitment, awareness and involvement pertaining to ISO (policy, standards, procedures, etc.) and food safety practices (GMPs, procedures, etc.) are requirements of all employees.
Trains in other areas of supply chain and provides back up support during absences and periods of peak activity
Proactively work on becoming an expert on the scheduling tool which will allow the user to leverage systems functionality to develop a sound operational schedule.
Understands and follows all safety policies and procedures.
Knowledge of Shop Floor Database software; Microsoft Office internet software; ERP software.
Expert knowledge Green Pepper and Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Work primarily in a climate controlled indoor environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection required.
This role operates in a professional office environment that requires some exposure to a manufacturing environment. Employee is rarely exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing area during extremely hot summer months.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred with emphasis in Operations Management or Supply Chain and two to five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience in a ProductionScheduling role and prior experience utilizing Production Scheduling software preferred
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, and Outlook email and calendar capabilities.
Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
