Job Description

ProAmpac is seeking a Product Development Intern for Summer 2021, who will work full-time for 12 weeks. Within this role, they will have the opportunity to complete lab testing of trial products for industry-leading customers. Potential products include pet food bags, single-serve sweetener, and food packaging. The lab trial process will include, but is not limited to, following set protocols, evaluating variables, and completing analyses of testing. Other responsibilities include:

  • ​Providing assistance with product trials completed on the production floor

  • Developing standardized packaging solutions for customer trial products

  • Completing Typical Data Sheet (TDS) file transfers to internal SharePoint site


  • Currently pursuing a degree at an accredited college or university in Packaging Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field

  • ​Previous internship experiences preferred

  • Understanding of lab testing (protocols, process, evaluations, statistical analysis)

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams) and Outlook

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Self-motivated and proactive professional that thrives in a fast-paced environment
