Essential Duties and Tasks

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Knows and follows all safety policies and procedures. Ensures that co-workers are also following safety rules.
Commitment, awareness and involvement pertaining to ISO (policy, standards, procedures, etc.) and food safety practices (GMPs, procedures, etc.) are requirements of all employees.
Manages all shipping and receiving concerns and oversees daily operations.
Ensure a high degree of detail and focus on every job.
Monitors warehouse organization and assigns people from either shipping, receiving, or material handling to reorganize when necessary.
Primary stakeholder in verification and testing all ERP changes and modifications to ERP system.
Manages inventory control personnel and inventory control activities.
Leads physical inventory execution team.
Works with Scheduling, Production, and Customer Service Managers to resolve issues affecting shipping and receiving department’s ability to meet customer needs as well as outside vendors.
Coordinates transportation with 3PL.
Maintains and adjusts associate’s work schedule.
Maintains shipping and receiving schedule.
Demonstrates appropriate attitude in all dealings with co-workers, customers and suppliers.
Other duties as assigned.
Directly supervises employees in the Shipping & Receiving Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving.
Qualifications, Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination education and experience.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), email and calendar capabilities, familiarity of WSW system or database programs helpful.
Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.
Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with all levels of the organization.
Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
