1st / 2nd / 3rd Shifts Available

Position Summary:

The Bag Machine Operator checks the quality product and the pack product to determine that it meets the standards based off customers specifications.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and pack product per customer specification using safe work practices.

  • Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure packaging integrity and print quality.

  • Monitor correct product weights and ensure that they are maintained throughout the shift.

  • Complete daily production entry/ paperwork.

  • Comply, understand and follow all safety procedures.

  • Load and unload items into packaging machines.

  • Read, understand, and correctly complete daily paperwork.

  • Set up work area using materials as specified in the work order and replenish materials as needed.

  • Assist the adjuster with set-up and/or change over activities as directed.

  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

  • Complete assigned duties in compliance with company policies & procedures.

  • Actively engage in safety programs.

  • Assist other team members as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

  • Flex printing is a plus.

  • Must know how to read, write, add and subtract.

  • Able to work flexible schedule and weekends.

  • Able to stand for long periods of time.

  • Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends and holidays.

  • Must follow company safety rules.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

  • Must have good hand/eye coordination.

  • Must be able to stand, walk (constantly – up to 10 hours) bend, stretch, squat and climb to access all parts of the machine.

  • Must be able to work in noisy environments.
