Description

  • Reads and initials work order to verify knowledge of order specifications at beginning of each order, and checks blue lines or sample bags for colors & correct copy.

  • Looks through orders for the week’s production, checks plates for scars, wear, or defects before mounting.

  • Retrieves all necessary supplies.

  • Notifies Press Operator of any problems or discrepancies.

  • Complete Plate Mounters Report Daily.

  • Monitors inventory of plate mounting supplies and notifies supervisor when supplies are low.

  • Cleans plates and cylinders and puts them away daily.

  • Assists the Press Operators when all work in area is complete and approved by Press Operator Lead or Supervisor.

  • Follows instructions and requests from supervisors and management.

  • Communicates well with assistant operators, and other operators at shift change.

  • Stays in work area, unless receives permission from supervisor.

  • Keeps floor free from obstructions, paper, ink, and other materials, and keeps general work area clean.

  • Sweeps and mops floors daily at the end of shift.

  • Empties trash cans and paper scrap daily, at end of each shift.

  • Complies with departmental and job safety practices, including wearing protective equipment and monitoring placement of machine guards.

  • Carry out tasks as assigned by Management.

  • Other duties assigned by Management.
