Description

The primary duty of the Senior Business Intelligence Analyst is to transform raw data into datasets to extract actionable insights that inform strategic decision-making within an organization. They design data models, develop ETL processes, create reports and dashboards to visualize findings, collaborate with stakeholders to align BI initiatives with business goals, and oversee data management to ensure accuracy and accessibility. Additionally, they drive process improvements, mentor junior analysts, and stay updated on industry trends to enhance the effectiveness of BI practices, ultimately supporting the organization’s overall performance.

  • Lead projects to design and implement data models and ETL processes that enable effective analysis at all levels of the company

  • Provide technical knowledge, expertise, and advice to the BI team about the core concepts of business intelligence

  • Provide mentorship to junior members of the BI team

  • Develop programs and systems to access and gather data as needed from many systems.

  • Be responsible for report, dashboard, and visualization design in tools like SQL Server, PowerBI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, etc.

  • Maintain a knowledge base through proper, accessible documentation on business intelligence processes including data quality controls, field mappings, and training materials

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and strategies with technology solutions

  • Deliver training and webinars on data and business intelligence topics to the company

  • Communicate with business users to elicit analytics requirements; Coordinate any necessary meetings and maintain correspondence on projects with impacted users

  • Maintain a knowledge base through proper, accessible documentation on business intelligence processes including data quality controls, field mappings, and training materials

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and strategies with technology solutions

  • Deliver training and webinars

Qualifications, Education and Experience

  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or related field preferred.

  • 3-5 years’ experience with business intelligence, data modeling, or data warehousing

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, and Outlook email and calendar capabilities.

  • Maintains strict confidentiality and protects privacy of confidential/sensitive information.

  • Exceptional time management and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.

  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs, and develop solutions and/or options.

  • Self-confident, self-motivated polished professional who thrives in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

Work primarily in a climate controlled indoor environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Hearing protection, safety shoes and vision protection required.

This role operates in a professional office environment that requires some exposure to a manufacturing environment. Employee is rarely exposed to non-toxic/nuisance smells from chemicals, airborne dust, moving mechanical parts, high noise levels and hot/humid environmental conditions in the manufacturing area during extremely hot summer months.
