Description

Primary Duties:

  • Act as role model for safe work practices and drive safety initiatives in your area

  • Along with department manager, lead employee teams engaged in 24/7 operation of finished goods warehouse and materials movement, including receiving, storing, and shipping of products.

  • Coach, guide and direct activities of team members

  • Diagnose and address skill gaps, training needs, performance and attendance issues as required

  • Maintain Quality Documentation of products as prescribed

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate inventory records are maintained.

  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse.

  • Develop and implement procedures to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity.

  • Conduct regular checks and maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring all products are stored in the correct location. Following all procedures such as but not limited to Quality, GMP, ISO, Food Safety,

  • Communicate regularly with management provide updates on warehouse operations and address any issues that may arise.

  • Ensure team is following protocols pertaining to safety, quality, production, documentation, reports, good manufacturing practices, 5S compliance and cleaning procedures.

  • Seek out opportunities to improve established practices and become a sounding board for employee concerns. Anticipate inefficiencies and bring constructive solutions

  • Support activities including analysis of departmental costs, investigation of significant variances, corrective actions and communication to teams of actions taken.

  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Associates degree preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent math, reading, writing required

  • 3 years or more experience in warehouse-type operations or production environment

  • Leadership experience – supervising employees in a warehouse or production environment or in US military

  • Experience utilizing continuous improvement tools such as Lean Six Sigma, ASQ, Quality ISO/SQF a plus.

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Visio, Teams and Outlook.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods,

  • Ability to lift and load weights up to 50 pounds

  • Able to successfully complete forklift operator training

  • Valid US driver’s license
