Provides support to skilled tradespersons by performing a variety of tasks related to maintaining buildings, forklifts, plant equipment, and grounds. This role often involves basic repairs, cleaning, painting, changing filters, and preventative maintenance. May also include assisting with setup/breakdown, inspecting facilities, and maintaining tools. This is a semi-skilled position, often acting as an entry-level role for those interested in a maintenance career. This position will also assist maintenance to ensure production machinery runs effectively with the use of FIIX. Operates in fast paced and high demand environment. Some troubleshooting skills are required.

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Maintain maintenance work order program FIIX.

  • Assist purchasing in stocking and entering new parts in the FIIX program.

  • Assist in inventory control.

  • Must be willing to work overtime as required with production machines.

  • Assist maintenance technicians on breakdowns on occasions, repairs, and installs.

  • Assist and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using voltmeters and other testing devices.

  • Monitor recorded repairs and maintenance performed.

  • Record parts and materials used, assist with ordering new parts and materials as necessary.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum 1-2 years related experience

  • Exceptional attendance and organization skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously establishing priorities to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal, written, and presentations) with executive leadership, staff, and internal and external clients.

  • Proactive; exercises sound judgment and decision making; able to identify problems and needs and develop solutions and/or options.
